Computer Vision research has consistently focused on the reconstruction of 3D geometry. This seminar will primarily focus on recent research that can rebuild geometry with a high level of accuracy. Shape-from-shading, photometric stereo, and surface reconstruction from point cloud data are among the methods we investigate. We'll look at both traditional methods like variational methods and differential equations, as well as more contemporary Deep Learning techniques. Computer Vision research has consistently focused on the reconstruction of 3D geometry.
