I moved to USI Lugano with Prof. Michael Bronstein since Feb 2016. Please refer to my personal page for further updates.

I am a member of the Computer Vision lab at TUM since August 2013, funded by an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Research Fellowship starting February 2014. In 2012 I was a JSPS Research Fellow at The University of Tokyo, Intelligent Systems and Informatics Lab. I graduated in Computer System Engineering at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2008, where I also received the academic merit award in 2007 and the Sebastiano e Rita Raeli Award for Outstanding Academic Accomplishments in 2008. I moved to Venice in 2009, where I worked as a technologist and scientist for a vision technology startup, and received the Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at Università Ca' Foscari in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Andrea Torsello. During my doctoral studies I spent a visiting research period at Tel Aviv University under the supervision of Prof. Alex Bronstein. I was awarded the Nvidia Best Student Paper Award at the 5th Intl. Symposium on 3D Data Processing, Visualization and Transmission (3DPVT 2010), the Award for Best Research Work in the Scientific Area at Università Ca' Foscari in 2011, and was recognized as Outstanding Reviewer at CVPR 2013, ECCV 2014, CVPR 2015, and ICCV 2015. Our work on 3D reconstruction was featured by the national Italian television (RAI - Cose dell'altro Geo) in 2012. Since 2014, I am lecturer for the Master's course on Analysis of Three-Dimensional Shapes (IN2238) at TU Munich and for the advanced seminar Recent Advances in the Analysis of 3D Shapes.

My research interests include shape analysis, matching, reconstruction and applications of Computer Vision.

Program Committee member for: ICCV (2015,2013,2011), CVPR (2016,2015,2014,2013,2012,2011), ECCV (2014,2012), 3DV (2015), BMVC (2015), NORDIA (2014).
